Wild cat
Cumberland Wildpark Grünau
Grünau, Austria
Visits
The wild cat prefers to stay in lower, snow-poor forest areas. It is a territorial loner and roams its territory on solid "stalk paths". The shy and sensitive animal is aggressive against invading cats. She is a skilled climber, crepuscular and nocturnal. Hollow trees, roots or twigs serve as resting places. The wild cat is a sneak and lurking hunter who kills through neck bite and consumes its prey at the find spot.
