The dam wall is well adapted to the terrain and stretches up to the ruin rocks. The rocks along the wall were well integrated. From this view or observation point, one could see the valley well and recognize approaching enemies in time. The slope was not yet overgrown with trees and was used by the farmers as a mountain meadow. This made an unnoticed approach very difficult.
